I see the clipping in the first one but what’s the second one
i actually dont see the clipping in the first one?? but the second one elsa’s braid phases right through her arm when she brings it forward. not over her shoulder. literally through her arm
the thumb clips through the shirt in the first one
Don’t know what’s wrong with the first scene; don’t care.
Second - read this ask. The animators chose to preserve the line of action/flow, and left it like this; it had apparently been animated both ways.
Christ on toast don’t any of you people have anything better to do than to clutch your pearls over less than a second of animation?! Animated at even 24 fps (frames per second) this shit moves faster than the human eye. You get what the hair is doing. It’s flowing, as it should! For that scene. If the Tumblr armies are that fucking bent out of shape about it then go march down to your local cinema and demand your thirteen bucks back.
And really - I’m an animator. I worked in animation. If you freeze-framed, nitpicked and made gifs of every 3 seconds of animation you’d be horrified/astounded at the tricks animators use to convey the feeling of motion. Seriously. Go watch “The Dover Boys” by Chuck Jones—no, wait, even better - Hercules. Disney’s Hercules. Frame-by-frame that shit and you’ll see major distortion in the characters as they quickly move from one location to another. It’s called “smearing” or just “smear frames.” Why isn’t anyone shitting their pants over that, eh? They animated like that because smear frames gives an amazing sense of movement, motion and elasticity to characters. It’s fun. BECAUSE IT’S MEANT TO BE WATCHED IN A CONSECUTIVE FILM, AT 24/30 FRAMES PER SECOND. What it’s NOT meant for is to be scrubbed in Quicktime for nine days while you laugh and guffaw that a hair style looks off-model.
I’m sorry for the novella but this bullshit has been all over my dash for a fucking week and I’m goddamn SICK of it. Pull your heads out of your fucking asses and realize that the CORE of animation is visual tricks.
